Card settings and event duration
Understand 3×3 and 5×5 cards, maximum numbers and Simplebingo's draw estimate, including its limits when planning an event.
Choose the card and number range
Cards are 3×3 or 5×5 with a FREE center. The minimum maximum-number setting is 8 for 3×3 and 24 for 5×5; the upper limit is 99. These settings determine the card numbers and drawing range, so choose them before creating the game.
A 3×3 card needs fewer marked squares and can suit a shorter activity. A larger maximum number also increases the opportunity to draw numbers absent from a particular card. The actual timing of bingo is random, so settings alone cannot guarantee a finish time.
What the estimate means
The creation form estimates the number of draws until the first bingo from the card size, maximum number and participant count. It uses precomputed data and approximations. It is a planning estimate, not a prediction of the next number.
The estimator accepts 1–500 players. That is the supported range of the calculator, not the game's participant limit. More players create more opportunities for someone to complete a line early, so the first-bingo estimate changes with the participant count.
Convert draws into a schedule
For example, allowing 40 draws at 15 seconds each gives about 10 minutes of drawing. This is an arithmetic example, not a prediction for a particular setting. Add time for joining, connection checks, handing out prizes and resolving ties.
An event that waits for several winners will take longer than the first bingo. The host's announcement speed and the time people take to mark cards also matter. Allow a margin and decide the stopping rule in advance when your event has a time limit.
Rehearse with the intended devices
Try one host device and one player device. Check that the draw reaches both screens, that people can read the display and that the venue network works. Record the settings and participant count to help plan future events.
The service's description of events around 1,000 people is not a guarantee of identical performance on every device or network. The calculator's 500-player range and the chat restriction above 1,000 participants are separate limitations.
